Hangin' at Hanging Rock (NC)

I live in Durham, NC with my partner, our dog, and our cat. I run a design studio and spend a lot of time walking, reading, and thinking (my therapist would probably say I spend too much time thinking).

This space is a personal archive of moments, photographs, and reflections gathered over time. Some of it is writing, some of it is visual, and much of it is unfinished in the way real life tends to be.

I mostly photograph nature and landscapes because I like being among the trees and mountains (and because I find it easier when the subject doesn't move).

I’m drawn to rainy days, grey and hazy skies, quiet trails, and small pockets of stillness.

I miss the earlier days of sharing things online, when posting a photo didn’t feel like performing and discovery felt slower and more human. When you could put something out quietly and stumble into other people’s work without everything needing to be optimized, explained, or turned into a video. This site is, in part, a response to that — a place where moments from my life can exist without expectations or comparison.

My hope is that this becomes something people close to me can return to over time. And maybe, long after I’m gone, it offers a small sense of the life I tried to live — mostly outdoors, often deep in a book, and usually sipping coffee.

My happy place (and uniform)
